Family Re-Launches

Anyone who grew up in Brisbane has fond memories (foggy, maybe) of going out for a night on the town in Fortitude Valley, and more often than not it always ended at The Family.

A Brisbane icon, this valley nightclub paved the way for late night revelry and dancing ‘til dawn, and now, after 17 years, The Family is re-born from it’s brief stint as Venue8!

Family will bring a whole new approach to the nightclub scene in Brisbane: with the top floor ‘Uncle’ and the Family Rooftop, being the new home of regular Friday and Saturday night parties, every week of the year. Revellers can enjoy the signature sight and sound of Family on a more regular basis, immerse themselves in the eclectic VIP Booths of Uncle and do it every Friday and Saturday night. For those who have come accustomed to the mega-shows, fear not, Family Basement will still bring you a bevy of local and international artists as ticketed events throughout the year.

The jewel in Family’s crown, though? The Family Rooftop, a totally gorgeous and unique bar space, will be open Friday and Saturday nights – perfect for late night cocktails, even if you’re not up for a dance (we’re SO keen for rooftop cocktails)!

Whatever way you look at this, this is fantastic news for the evolvement of Fortitude Valley’s club scene—and, let’s be honest, our social lives.
